PFA Seizes Untraceable Cooking Oil
GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has seized 280 litres of untraceable loose cooking oil and registered a case against the person responsible during a checking operation on GT Road.
According to an official source, the PFA food safety team, under the supervision of Deputy District Officer Sadia Rafat, intercepted a vehicle near Service Mor, Gujrat, following a tip-off. During a search, the team recovered:
- 280 litres of loose cooking oil
- 340 kilograms of bakery waste
from the vehicle. The driver failed to produce purchase records, invoices or other traceability documents.
The team collected a sample of the cooking oil and sent it to a laboratory for analysis. The vehicle and seized items were shifted to the PFA office. A case was registered against the person responsible under relevant laws, and further legal action was initiated.
