PFA Seizes Vehicle Carrying 600kg Dead Chickens

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday seized a vehicle transporting 600 kilogrammes of dead chickens during a crackdown in Sargodha.

According to a spokesperson for the PFA, the vehicle was intercepted at a checkpoint near 33 Phatak (railway gate) on Bhalwal road based on surveillance and confidential information. The seized chickens were disposed of at the Jhal dumping site, an FIR was registered, and the accused arrested. The vehicle was also taken into police custody.

The PFA is conducting a province-wide operation against the supply and transportation of dead chickens. Citizens are encouraged to report food safety violations to the PFA helpline 1223.
