PHA Directs Horticulture Agencies To Enhance Revenue Through Own Resources

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) Director General (DG) Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Ahmed Usman Javed on Tuesday directed all district horticulture agencies to enhance their revenue through their own resources and work towards achieving financial autonomy.
He issued the directions while chairing a Zoom meeting of managing directors of all district horticulture agencies across Punjab.
The DG directed the district agencies to increase their income through their marketing and coordination departments, stressing the need to improve their financial sustainability.
Ahmed Usman Javed said the PHA would establish more parks and recreational facilities, particularly in newly created districts to provide better recreational opportunities to citizens. He also instructed officials to plant more trees in the districts in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to increase green areas across the province.
The DG ordered uniform branding of uniforms for gardeners in all districts to ensure a consistent and professional appearance. He directed the district horticulture agencies to make greater use of modern technology to improve their performance and service delivery.
DG Ahmed Javed further called for the formulation of a comprehensive strategy to improve horticulture services in all districts and ensure better facilities for the public.
