Pharmacy Council Orders Three Institutions to Suspend Pharm.D Admissions Over Missing NOCs

The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan has directed three educational institutions to withdraw unauthorised advertisements for their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programmes and suspend admission-related activities until obtaining the required No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to official sources, these institutions are:

  • KIPS College, University Campus, Gujranwala
  • Superior University, Sargodha Campus
  • Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Riphah International University, Gujranwala

The council took notice of advertisements and proposed admissions to the Pharm.D programme by these institutions without the requisite NOC. They have been instructed to:

  • Immediately withdraw unauthorised or misleading advertisements.
  • Cease admission activities until the necessary approval is obtained.
  • Ensure that no advertisement, prospectus, or promotional material creates a misleading impression about the approval status of their programmes.

The PCP emphasised the importance of institutions fulfilling all regulatory requirements before advertising or initiating admissions to professional pharmacy degree programmes. Prospective students and parents are advised to verify the approval and NOC status of institutions and their programmes with the council.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the quality of pharmacy education, protecting students' interests, and enforcing regulatory requirements.
