PHDEC to Conduct Field Workshop on Mango Pruning
PHDEC will organize a field demonstration and training workshop on modern mango pruning and production practices on September 9 at Lutfabad Mango Farms.
The program, scheduled to begin at 9:00 am, aims to provide mango growers and orchard managers with practical training in:
- Mechanical and judicious pruning techniques.
- Enhancing canopy management, sunlight penetration, air circulation, and overall orchard efficiency.
PHDEC experts will demonstrate precise pruning methods, including timing and locations for cutting, while guiding farmers on avoiding excessive branch removal that could compromise tree health and yield.
The workshop will also cover advanced mango production and management strategies aimed at boosting fruit quality, marketability, and export potential.
Participating growers and stakeholders will have an interactive platform to discuss practical field challenges with industry experts.
