PHP Releases Performance Report For August 2026

The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released its monthly performance report for the Sargodha Region covering August 2026, highlighting significant achievements in crime prevention, traffic law enforcement, and highway safety.
According to a police spokesman, PHP registered 527 cases across the region during the month, leading to the arrest of 44 proclaimed offenders and seven court fugitives.
Actions against illegal weapons resulted in eight registered cases, while 298 cases were lodged against vehicles illegally utilizing gas cylinders. An additional 229 cases of various operational natures were also registered.
In terms of traffic enforcement, PHP personnel issued 38,014 challans for traffic violations, collecting fines totaling Rs 18.636 million.
PHP staff demonstrated their commitment to public service by assisting citizens on 4,471 occasions during highway duty and providing 2,060 specialized services at their dedicated service center. They also successfully reunited four missing children with their parents.
Through routine verifications using the e-Police application, personnel checked the records of 198,299 individuals and 148,790 vehicles.
In a notable operation, PHP officers seized 450 kilograms of illegal dead meat and handed the case over to the Punjab Food Authority for legal action.
Under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) PHP Sargodha Region Farrukh Sohail Sindhu, the highway patrol continues its operations to combat crime, maintain road discipline, and serve travelers.
