Punjab Arts Council Exhibition and Poster Competition Marks Defence Day

The Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi organised a pictorial exhibition and poster competition to commemorate Defence Day on Friday.

Director Punjab Group of Colleges, Ch. Muhammad Akram, attended as the chief guest. The event offered participants a platform to showcase their artistic interpretations of September 6th, the sacrifices of the armed forces, patriotism, and dedication to protecting the nation.

Renowned artists Azeem Iqbal, Mehmood Ali, and Sameeha Khaliq judged the competition. Ifra Naeem emerged as the first-place winner, followed by Manahil Mehmood in second and Winifred Gill in third. Certificates and shields were presented to the winners, while all participating artists and judges received recognition for their contributions.

Speaking at the event, Director Muhammad Shakoor of the Punjab Council of the Arts expressed gratitude to the chief guest, judges, and participants. He emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering patriotism, national unity, and awareness among the youth, while also providing artists a space to express their national sentiments through art.
