PIMS Tragedy: Immediate FIR Ordered Against Those Responsible

The Senate committee has recommended placing the names of those responsible for the PIMS tragedy on the Exit Control List, while show-cause notices have been issued to the security company and monitoring committee for their failure to act after the incident.

Senator Agha Shahzeb Durrani criticized the Ministry of Health’s role, asking why they were relying on the Ministry of Interior to register the FIR. He suggested they take direct action as the complainant.
Concerns were also raised regarding the handover of children and DNA tests. Senator Masroor inquired about the process, given the absence of DNA tests.
Dr. Aneezah Jaleel confirmed witnessing the children, noting their name tags and diapers. She also stated that 10 bodies were not burned.
Senator Samina Zehri noted the police’s repeated requests for the post-mortem report, which Dr. Aneezah Jaleel confirmed she had not received.
