LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) - The Horticulture Agency Lahore has launched a plantation campaign in the city under the "Green Lahore" vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
MD PHA Ahmad Usman Javed said that plantation work has begun along Atta Bakhsh Road. He added that bamboo plants will be planted along the 5-kilometer-long road, specifically along the sewage drain adjacent to the road, to enhance environmental beauty and increase greenery.
He stated that plants already exist on the road, and now PHA is planting 3,600 new bamboo plants.
Ahmad Usman Javed said the plantation drive will be completed next week. He further added that the campaign is being expanded across the city to make Lahore green and lush.
