Police Arrest 10 Suspects In Sexual Crime, Harassment Cases
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) Police arrested 10 suspects involved in separate cases of sexual abuse, harassment, and violence against women and children across the city.
In a statement on Saturday, DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran informed that:
- Achhra Police arrested a school security guard, Sajid, on charges of sexually abusing a child.
- Factory Area Police apprehended Ruman, wanted in a sexual abuse case.
- Baghbanpura Police arrested Hassan, a nominated suspect in a sexual abuse case.
- Misri Shah Police apprehended Ashar for allegedly attempting to sexually abuse a child.
Additionally, the DIG said six other suspects were arrested in separate cases of harassment and violence against women:
- Sabzazar Police arrested Owais for harassing a woman.
- Millat Park Police apprehended Idris on similar charges.
- Samanabad Police arrested Nauman for harassing and assaulting a woman.
- Harbanspura Police took Tanveer into custody following a complaint concerning a woman.
- Sundar Police arrested Waqas for harassing a woman.
- Chuhng Police apprehended Naeem on a woman's complaint.
DIG Faisal Kamran emphasized that protecting vulnerable segments of society is among the police's foremost responsibilities, adding that they are adhering to a strict zero-tolerance policy in cases involving women and children to ensure justice for victims.
