Police Arrest Injured Robber After Encounter
Muzaffargarh, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2026) Police arrested a robber in injured condition while two others escaped during a fire exchange during a snap checking operation in the jurisdiction of Khangarh police station here on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, the incident unfolded at Ditton Wali in the limits of Mondka Police Post. During a routine checking, the post in-charge and other policemen signalled three men riding a motorcycle without a registration number to stop.
The suspects allegedly opened fire at the police party and attempted to flee. Police pursued them, leading to the suspects losing control of their motorcycle and falling into a minor canal.
During the operation, police apprehended Irfan alias Daga, one of the suspects, in an injured state, while his two accomplices fled into the night.
Police revealed that Irfan was a hardened criminal with 11 serious cases registered against him at various police stations.
A search operation was launched to apprehend the remaining suspects, while further investigations are ongoing.
