Police Arrests Robber In Injured Condition After Encounter
Nawabshah, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) Shaheed Benazirabad Police conducted a third successful encounter against criminal elements, resulting in the arrest of one injured robber and recovery of a 30-bore pistol.
According to a police spokesperson, the SHO of Taluka Nawabshah Police Station and his team were on routine patrol on New Bypass Road when they encountered armed robbers. Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response from the police in self-defense.
During the exchange of fire, one suspect was arrested in injured condition, while his accomplices managed to escape. A search operation and blockade have been initiated to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
The injured suspect was identified as Nazar Hussain, son of Khadim Hussain Solangi, a resident of village Lal Muhammad Zardari, Taluka Daur.
Police recovered a 30-bore pistol along with bullets from his possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect has a history of theft, robbery, and other serious crimes. His criminal record includes cases registered under:
- Crime No. 128/2026 (sections 324, 353, 398, 401 PPC)
- Crime No. 129/2026 (section 24-A SAA)
at Taluka Nawabshah Police Station. Further investigation into his criminal record is ongoing.
