Police Coordinate With Administration and Rescue Agencies Amid Heavy Downpour
Rawalpindi: Police remain on high alert and are coordinating with the district administration and rescue agencies to ensure public safety during torrential rainfall across the city. This comes as per the directives of City Police Officer (CPO), Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera.
Senior officers have been deployed in the field to monitor the situation, while the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations and Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) visited Gawalmandi Bridge and Nallah Lai to assess the water flow. Divisional Superintendents of Police (SSPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs), and police post in-charges are also actively monitoring the situation in their respective areas.
Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has instructed all officers to maintain close coordination with the district administration and rescue agencies, offering all possible support to citizens. He further directed the CTO to facilitate smooth traffic flow and issue timely advisories to keep motorists informed about road conditions.
Rawalpindi Police, in collaboration with other departments, is actively assisting citizens during these adverse weather conditions. Citizens are advised to contact rescue services for emergencies and can also reach out to the Police Helpline 15 for immediate assistance.
