Police Finalize Security Plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)
Multan Regional Police have finalized a comprehensive security plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), under which more than 4,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed to ensure foolproof security for 220 processions and 44 Milad gatherings across Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran districts.
The security arrangements have been finalized on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Usman Akram Gondal, with special measures put in place to maintain law and order and provide a safe environment for citizens participating in religious celebrations.
Security Measures:
- Extensive deployment along procession routes and at Milad program venues.
- CCTV surveillance at sensitive processions and gatherings.
- Security screening of participants using walk-through gates and metal detectors.
- Safe City camera monitoring to strengthen surveillance and security response.
- Participation of Elite Force, Traffic Police, Special Branch, and other relevant police units.
- Heavy contingents deployed along procession routes, with special traffic arrangements for smooth vehicle movement and minimal public inconvenience.
RPO Usman Akram Gondal emphasized that maintaining peace and ensuring citizen safety during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is the police's top priority. He instructed all officers to remain alert and ensure strict adherence to the security plan, adding that negligence or lapses will not be tolerated.
The Multan Regional Police stated that all available resources are being utilized to guarantee peaceful observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and protect citizens' lives and property throughout the region.
