Police Intensify Checking Across Tank District
Security was placed on high alert across Tank district following received intelligence alerts regarding possible terrorist threats. On September 5, 2026, police conducted a general hold-up and intensive checking of vehicles, motorcycles, and suspicious persons at various locations.
Key Measures Taken:
- General Checkpoints: Established at Sheikh Market, Jandola Bazaar, Sarki Post, Khargai Post, and other sensitive areas.
- Roadside Checks: Conducted on Tank-Pezu Road with verification of vehicle documents and identification of commuters.
- Enhanced Security Arrangements: Reviewed at entry/exit points, major roads, and sensitive locations under the supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan and other senior officials.
