Police Round Up 29 Sellers, Manufacturers of Mainpuri, Gutka
Hyderabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) The Hyderabad police have declared the arrest of 29 manufacturers and sellers of mainpuri and gutka who were rounded up in a span of 24 hours.
The police spokesman informed that the arrests were made in raids conducted across different police stations in the city. According to him, the suspects had been booked under the Sindh Prohibition of Preparation, Manufacturing, Storage, Sale and Use of Gutka and Mainpuri Act, 2019 in 32 FIRs. The police have recovered around 4,600 sachets from the apprehended suspects.
Meanwhile, the Phuleli police arrested two suspects and seized 8.116 kilograms of hashish from their possession. During a snap checking at Good Naka intersection, the police noticed a Toyota Corolla car. Upon stopping the vehicle, they recovered hashish. The two suspects, Abdul Wali Khan and Zakirullah Khan, were later booked under the Narcotics Control Act on the state’s complaint.
