Police Tighten Snap Checking at Entry, Exit Points

Larkana, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - August 24, 2026) In accordance with directives by Senior Superintendent of Police Ahmed Choudhry QPM, PSP, Larkana Police have tightened snap checking at the district's entry and exit points on Monday.

To further stabilize the law-and-order situation and bring criminal elements to justice, area SHOs are continuing the process of searching suspicious individuals and vehicles and verifying their credentials at the entry and exit points. During snap checks, identification is being carried out on the spot using search application devices. Police patrolling has also been intensified across the district under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Police Officers.

Larkana Police have achieved another major success in the ongoing crackdown against drug dealers, arresting two major narcotics and gutka dealers, Rabil Bhutto and Zeeshan Bhutto, red-handed. Both arrested suspects are inter-district gutka suppliers and IR-listed drug dealers.

In line with the directives issued by the Standing Committee on the Sindh Home Department, Larkana Police, under the leadership of SSP Larkana Ahmed Choudhry QPM, PSP, are continuing operations against gutka suppliers and drug dealers. The red-handed arrest of two major narcotics dealers has broken the backbone of drug peddlers. Previously, their other associates and gang members had already been arrested. In recent days, a total of 42 gutka suppliers and drug dealers have been caught red-handed from various locations. Among the arrested suspects are IR-listed drug dealers, including four female accused.

From the jurisdiction of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto Police Station, an inter-district gutka supplier named Raja Kori was arrested with a Bolan carrier vehicle and 70 kg of gutka, and a case was registered. From Market Police Station, gutka supplier Qurban Sheikh was arrested with 9 kg 150 grams of gutka, and a case was registered. From Sachal Police Station, gutka supplier Farooq Abbasi was arrested with 10 kg 40 grams of gutka, and a case was registered.

From Allahabad Police Station, gutka supplier Akram Dayo was arrested with 12 kg 300 grams of gutka, and a case was registered. From Dari Police Station, gutka supplier Yousuf Brohi was arrested with 9 kg 200 grams of gutka, and a case was registered. From Baqapur Police Station, two accused, Abdul Salam and Ghulam Nabi Chino, were arrested with 52 pockets of ice/crystal, and a case was registered.

From Waleed Police Station, two female accused—Aqeela (resident of Afghanistan) and Laiba (resident of Quetta)—along with a male accused, Muhammad Hayat, were arrested with 12 kg of charas (hashish), and a case was registered. From Waleed Police Station, the notorious female drug dealer Zamira Makol, ringleader of the Makol gang, was arrested with over one kilogram of charas.
