Policy Continuity Essential to Move Pakistan Forward: Minister Azma
Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari on Friday stated that policy continuity is vital for Pakistan's progress, emphasizing that changes in governments should not disrupt the national vision and policies focused on public welfare.
In a statement, she highlighted Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif's commitment to maintaining consistency in policies, despite governmental transitions. Azma Bokhari argued that Pakistan's development is a shared responsibility, and policies designed for national welfare should remain unaltered.
She expressed her concern that policies introduced by one government are often abandoned or changed by the next due to political shifts. The minister advocated for a consistent national vision and policy continuity, emphasizing the importance of these factors for sustainable development, regardless of government changes.
Azma Bokhari concluded by stating that Pakistan needs policies that align with the national interest and public welfare, which should not be sacrificed for short-term political agendas.
