Polio Campaign Reviewed, Teams’ Performance Assessed
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2026) The district administration has intensified monitoring of the ongoing anti-polio campaign, reviewing progress and the performance of field teams deployed across 103 union councils.
The campaign, from September 21 to 27, is being conducted under the supervision of the district administration with the aim to administer polio drops to all children under five.
A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Dawood Saleemi on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Capt (R) Sanaullah Khan.
The meeting assessed campaign progress, discussed activities to reach children under five, and the performance of teams in different areas. Officials also debated measures to enhance campaign effectiveness and ensure all eligible children receive polio drops.
The additional deputy commissioner directed relevant officers to maintain effective field monitoring and take steps to improve campaign performance.
