Political Differences Must Be Resolved Through Dialogue Not Confrontation: Humayun
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - October 04, 2026) Central Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party, Muhammad Humayun Khan, stated that political differences should be addressed through serious negotiations and political reconciliation rather than confrontation.
In a declaration, Humayun Khan expressed that Pakistan requires peace, stability, and national consensus instead of escalating political tension. He emphasized the need for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to avoid prolonged protest politics, road blockades, and continued uncertainty.
"Keeping the doors of dialogue open is the true spirit of democratic politics and a national responsibility," he added. Humayun Khan urged political leadership to rise above personal and political differences, prioritizing the resolution of public issues.
He identified crucial concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including law and order, employment, education, and basic public services, which demand immediate political attention. According to him, road blockades and political confrontations negatively affect ordinary citizens, traders, and the business community.
Khan highlighted the potential for improved coordination between the Federal government and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to enhance joint efforts against terrorism and foster stability. He stressed that, under current circumstances, political forces should focus on negotiations over escalated confrontation, striving for practical and sustainable solutions to national challenges.
"Pakistan's strength is linked to political stability, provincial harmony, and a serious political approach aimed at alleviating the people’s suffering," he concluded.
