Political Issues Can Only Be Resolved Through Dialogue: Ayaz Sadiq
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Friday stated that political issues could only be resolved through dialogue and not confrontation.
Responding to a point raised by Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri in the National Assembly, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had consistently called for sitting together and holding talks to resolve issues.
He further noted that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and the leader of the opposition had also expressed their willingness to engage in negotiations. “The same message has been conveyed by the law minister and parliamentary affairs,” he added.
The speaker emphasized that it was time to move forward through dialogue. He expressed hope that the opposition leader would receive an invitation regarding the appointment of members of the Election Commission, stating, "I think a way forward will emerge from there."
Ayaz Sadiq highlighted his desire for everyone’s betterment and noted that political circumstances are ever-changing. He reminded those in the opposition that their positions could shift, emphasizing his commitment to accommodating all sides.
"While some individuals might not approve of my actions, I remain dedicated to facilitating members and resolving issues," he concluded.
