PPHI Establishes 93 Dispensaries and Hospitals in Larkana

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) District Manager Administration of PPHI Larkana, Junaid Ahmed Sohoo, has announced the establishment of 93 dispensaries and hospitals under the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) in the district, with over 35 health centers operating 24 hours a day.
These centers offer medical treatment and maternity services with round-the-clock staffing. According to monthly statistics, approximately 1,000 normal deliveries take place at these centers.
Sohoo stated that timely medicine delivery is guaranteed at all PPHI health centers. He explained that medications are supplied to hospitals and dispensaries across the district between the 1st and 7th of every month, ensuring sufficient stock throughout the month.
He emphasized that the 24-hour operational centers are prepared to handle emergencies during the night, with doctors, labor rooms, operation theatres, and other staff working in three shifts. Solar systems have been installed at several centers for continuous electricity supply.
The district manager highlighted the warehouse's role in storing medications, featuring a cold storage room for emergency medicines requiring specific temperature conditions. He assured that medicine quality and expiry dates are monitored through specialized software, and expired medications are promptly replaced.
He added that medicine stocks are closely monitored, and any shortage at a health center is promptly addressed with immediate delivery of the required medication. The warehouse is equipped with four doors and essential fire safety equipment for emergencies.
Sohoo reiterated PPHI's primary goal: to provide people with accessible, quality healthcare, timely medications, and emergency medical services.
