PPP Leaders Oppose Long March, Call For Peace and Relief in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Divisional President Malik Farooq expressed his views on the current political and economic situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the province is facing terrorism and severe inflation, making it inappropriate for a long march. He emphasized the need for restoring peace and providing relief to the people.

Malik Farooq and District President Syed Saleem Shah made these statements during a press conference, joined by PPP Women’s Wing General Secretary Romesh Saleem, Iftikhar Tanoli, Sajid Butt, Malik Mehrban, and other Youth Wing office-bearers.

According to Farooq, the province has been gripped by terrorism for over a decade, and inflation has made essential goods unaffordable for ordinary citizens. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government's 13-year rule, asserting that the people continue to face severe problems.

Syed Saleem Shah suggested that, while the Constitution allows for emergency or Governor's Rule in specific circumstances, the PPP would respect it and consider such a step only if it served the national interest.

The PPP leaders affirmed their commitment to the people, promising to advocate for public relief and oppose policies that burden citizens economically.
