PPP MPA Seeks Withdrawal Of Notification On Deployment Of Inexperienced Staff For Exam Duties
Pakistan (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News, 3rd Sep, 2026)
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Mehr Sultana has expressed concern over the provincial government’s decision to deploy unexperienced personnel instead of government teachers for examination duties for graduation, qualifier and intermediate examinations, and demanded the withdrawal of the relevant notification.
In a call-attention notice submitted to the KP Assembly Secretariat, she stated that assigning inexperienced individuals to exam duties was unfair to students who prepared diligently despite numerous challenges. She further claimed this move had caused additional anxiety and difficulties for students during their examinations.
Mehr Sultana highlighted several instances where such personnel had registered cases against students, with some facing unlawful harassment. She argued that departmental action against these individuals for violations like examination rules, misconduct or malpractice was more complex compared to experienced government teachers who were bound by established discipline and accountability mechanisms.
The PPP legislator noted that students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had lodged numerous complaints with various educational boards regarding this issue, further complicating the situation for the boards. She urged the provincial government to take immediate steps to:
- Withdraw the notification concerning examination duties for graduation, qualifier and intermediate examinations.
- Ensure only experienced teachers are assigned exam duties in the future to address student concerns and conduct examinations transparently, organizedly, and peacefully.
