The son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, Presley Gerber, has died at the age of 27. Gerber passed away at a rehab facility on Sunday, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, though the cause of death was not disclosed.

Allie Jenkins, a representative for Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, confirmed the news to CBS, saying: "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."

Gerber, who had struggled openly with mental health challenges and addiction, began his modeling career at 16, making his runway debut for Italian label Moschino. He went on to model for renowned brands such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta.

In a recent interview with American Vogue, Gerber's younger sister Kaia discussed their family's struggles with addiction, stating: "When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone."
