Price Control Team Conducted Crackdown On Overcharging

On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi, the district price control team conducted inspection of the local meat market and took action against shopkeepers found violating official price lists and overcharging customers.
During the inspection, the team thoroughly checked prices and quality of meat and other items being sold at various shops, besides verifying the display and implementation of government-approved rate lists.
Several shopkeepers were found involved in overcharging and violating official rates and were fined heavily on the spot. Traders found guilty of minor irregularities were issued strict warnings and directed to ensure compliance with government regulations in the future.
Deputy Commissioner, Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi said the district administration would continue to ensure the availability of quality essential commodities to the public at officially notified prices. He warned that strict and indiscriminate action would continue against profiteers and hoarders, adding that no one would be allowed to exploit consumers or violate government price regulations.
