The Duke of Sussex has resigned from the board of an African wildlife charity, African Parks, in the wake of human rights abuses committed by its rangers. A spokesperson for Prince Harry confirmed his departure, emphasizing his continued support for the organization's mission.
Last year, African Parks acknowledged instances of abuse by its guards in Congo-Brazzaville. Prince Harry's resignation follows his recent move to the UK with Duchess of Sussex, Archie, and Lilibet.
According to a statement, Prince Harry "is proud of his 10 years with African Parks and fully supports the ongoing strengthening of its board." The charity, which manages numerous national parks across 12 countries, expressed gratitude for his association, praising his efforts in promoting conservation.
The Duke played a pivotal role in the 500 Elephants project, a significant elephant translocation initiative. He has described his experience as "amazing."
