Prof. Farooq Afzal Retires After Distinguished Service; Announces Rs 600 Million LGH Expansion Project

Members of the Academic Council, senior health professionals, and hospital administrators lavishly praised Prof. Farooq Afzal for his tireless work, unwavering professional integrity, contributions to medical research, and pivotal role in transforming LGH into a more patient-focused healthcare institution. A formal luncheon was hosted by Medical Superintendent LGH, Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain, in honour of the retiring Principal, attended by a large gathering of administrative doctors and senior faculty members.
In his farewell address, Prof. Faryad Hussain emphasized the enduring strength and pride of society found in medical teachers. He expressed confidence that the institution would continue to benefit from Prof. Farooq Afzal's vast experience in administration, academia, and clinical practice.
