A 69-year-old woman from Colombia has become a professional rumor-maker, earning money by selling gossip. Miriam, from Colombia’s Quindio region, claims her rumour-selling business is booming. She buys properties using the proceeds from her unique profession.

"I charge 5,000 to 10,000 Colombian pesos for rumors; the most expensive sold for 700,000 pesos," she reveals in an interview. Miriam believes rumor-making runs in her blood and has made it her livelihood.

She continues, "I love gossip and I am a professional rumour maker." She sits in local tea shops, absorbing information to fuel her business.
