PTA Organizes Awareness Session On District-level Licensing

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Zonal Office Faisalabad, organized an awareness session on Class Licensing for Internet Services at District Level at the Arts Council, Sargodha. Published August 24, 2026 | 08:54 PM

The session aimed at ensuring broader participation and effective engagement with industry stakeholders, including existing licensees and prospective license applicants. Over 300 participants attended.

It provided a platform for direct interaction between PTA and stakeholders involved in the internet service provisioning ecosystem. PTA officials informed participants about:

  • The existing licensing regime
  • Salient features of the Class License for Internet Services at District Level
  • Applicable regulatory requirements
  • Compliance obligations

A question-and-answer session followed, where PTA officials answered queries regarding the licensing process and compliance.

Participants expressed appreciation for PTA’s initiative, highlighting the importance of direct engagement. Prospective license applicants, in particular, valued the opportunity to interact with PTA and gain insights into the licensing process.
