Message to Lawmakers and Party Leaders

In a series of messages on X, PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar addressed lawmakers and party leaders regarding October 4. He stated:

Any MP, MNA or party leader who is not present in Pakistan on October 4 will have no connection with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. “They should form another party for themselves.”

He further criticized the past leadership, claiming that four chief ministers and two prime ministers from the same family had been imposed on the country for 46 years, while Imran Khan, according to Akbar, ruined the nation.

Akbar added in another tweet:

If you are a thief, incompetent, and even not patriotic, you are still acceptable to powerful forces—just you have to be ‘leelah’; otherwise then you will either be in jail or declared incompetent, even if you are patriotic and honest and the people are with you.

Interview Insights

In an interview, Junaid Akbar revealed that Sohail Afridi would remain as chief minister until Imran Khan says otherwise. He also mentioned that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had made significant sacrifices in the war against terrorism and would reject their opponents' narrative again.

Akbar noted that PTI's preparations for upcoming events were complete, evident from the government's deployment of numerous containers and police personnel, indicating their concern. He emphasized that "preparation" holds no special meaning for PTI, as its workers can mobilize within 24 hours.

Political Dynamics

The PTI leader reiterated that they have used every forum available and that the country and its institutions are their priority. He encouraged dialogue to find a way forward. When asked about his relations with Ali Amin Gandapur, Akbar said they hadn't been good, making it inappropriate for him to comment on Gandapur's recent statement.
