The Punjab Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has taken a significant step towards enhancing administrative affairs and efficiency by transferring employees who have been posted at the same locations for prolonged periods.
On Friday, 16 Grade-17 Office Superintendents serving in various government teaching hospitals and medical institutions across Punjab were transferred.
These transfers include:
- Office Superintendents from Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, and Sahiwal.
- Those from the University of Child Health Sciences Lahore, Faisalabad Medical University, King Edward Medical University, and Nishtar Medical University Multan.
- Transfers also occurred at Lahore General Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Shahdara Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Hospital, Lady Willingdon Hospital, and De'Montmorency College of Dentistry.
All transferred officers are ordered to report to their new posts immediately.
The department stated these transfers aim to:
- Promote transparency
- Improve efficiency
- Strengthen administrative affairs
They also announced that more employee transfers will follow as part of ongoing administrative reforms, targeting those serving at the same teaching hospitals and institutions for extended periods.
