Quranic Calligraphy Exhibition Held at Multan Arts Council
MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2026) An exhibition featuring elegant artworks in Quranic calligraphy was held at the Multan Arts Council as part of a series of ceremonies organized by the local government and organizations ahead of Eid-MIlad-Un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) celebrations scheduled for 12th of Rabiul Awwal.
Additional Commissioner's Inauguration
Additional commissioner coordination Shahid Abbas Joiya inaugurated the exhibition, where artworks of noted calligraphers such as Ibn Kaleem Ahsan Nizami, Ali Aijaz Nizami, Rashid Siyal, Mukhtar Ali, Farah Rehman, Hamid Iqbal, Zafar Iqbal Zafar, Shoaib Ahmad Khan, and Fatima were on display.
Commending Calligraphers' Skills
Shahid Joiya praised the artistic skills of the calligraphers, who presented verses from the Holy Quran in diverse and aesthetically appealing calligraphic styles. The calligraphers expressed that their art was a way to demonstrate their love, devotion, and deep attachment to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

Saleem Qaiser, director of Multan Arts Council, praised the skill and artistry of calligraphers from the region.
Exhibition's Objective
Shahid Abbas Joiya stated that the art of calligraphy reflected Islamic culture. He explained that the exhibition aimed to express love and devotion to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlight the Islamic culture and Quranic message through calligraphic arts.
He further added that the Arts Council would continue organizing such events to provide artists from the area with platforms to showcase their talents.
