Rama Pir Festival Highlights Religious Harmony and Tolerance in Pakistan

UrduPoint reports that the annual Rama Pir festival, celebrated in Tando Allahyar, Sanghar, showcased religious harmony and tolerance in Pakistan. This event, attended by thousands of Hindu devotees from across the country, emphasized freedom of religion.

Rajesh Kumar Hardasani, a member of the National Peace Committee, stated that the festival serves as a powerful example:

"Pakistan Zindabad" and "Pak Army Zindabad" slogans were raised, while special prayers were offered for Pakistan's security and prosperity.

Devotees traveled on foot, carrying Pakistani flags, and local residents welcomed them warmly along the way. Hardasani highlighted the equal rights enjoyed by minority communities in Pakistan under the Constitution, freely observing their festivals and rituals.

The festival conveyed a message of interfaith respect, brotherhood, and national unity. The administration ensured elaborate security arrangements for this event, with members of the festival management committee also present.

Hindu community members expressed gratitude to the President, Prime Minister, and especially Field Marshal Gen Syed Asim Munir, for their support in protecting and upholding their rights. They assured continued positive contributions to Pakistan's peace, development, prosperity, and unity.
