Rangers, SIU Arrest Extortion Suspect

Rangers Sindh and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Police arrested a suspected member of the Ahmed Ali Magsi gang allegedly involved in extortion during a joint intelligence-based operation in Azizabad Bhangoria Goth.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Muslim Ghulam, son of Ghulam Muhammad, was arrested with weapons and ammunition. The suspect was reportedly involved in several cases of drug dealing, extortion, and firing at individuals who refused to pay extortion money in PIB Colony.
The spokesperson stated that the suspect, along with his accomplice Salman Shooter and others, had allegedly extorted money from traders in PIB Colony and cardboard factories in Liaquatabad. He was also accused of firing into a factory in Bhangoria Goth to instill fear after its owners declined to pay ransom.
Salman Shooter had been previously arrested and imprisoned. Following his associate’s arrest, the suspect had fled to Balochistan, fearing capture, but returned to Karachi some time ago and reportedly rekindled his network. Raids were underway to apprehend his other associates, the spokesperson added.
The arrested suspect, along with the recovered weapons and ammunition, was turned over to the SIU for further legal action.
