Ratcliffe 'must go' says Man Utd Muslim fan group

Sir Jim Ratcliffe: Manchester United Muslim Fan Group Calls for Co-Owner's Departure

BBC Sport reports that the Manchester United Muslim Supporters group (MUMSC) has expressed their dissatisfaction with club co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, stating he "must go." This comes after Ratcliffe made controversial comments about immigration and Britain's decline in an interview with the BBC.

Ratcliffe, a billionaire and founder of Ineos, blamed high taxes and immigration for the UK's perceived decline. He later apologised for his choice of words but the MUMSC finds his latest remarks "deeply disappointing and completely unacceptable."

The group highlights that Manchester United boasts a diverse fan base and workforce from various countries, cultures, and backgrounds, emphasizing that this diversity is a strength, not a weakness. They also criticise the Glazer family's leadership, citing rising ticket prices, stadium deterioration, and underperforming on the field as reasons for their dissatisfaction.

In light of these concerns, the MUMSC calls for both Ratcliffe and the Glazer family to step down, hoping for meaningful change after years of decline.
