Rawal Dam Spillway to Open at 4 PM Today
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 04, 2026) The Rawal Dam spillway will be opened at 4 pm on Friday, September 4, after heavy rains in the catchment area pushed the reservoir’s water level to 1,751.40 feet, prompting authorities to release excess water and direct all concerned departments and residents to take necessary precautions.
This decision was made in view of the continued rise in the dam’s water level following heavy rainfall in its catchment area. Authorities have urged everyone to remain alert and take precautionary measures ahead of the spillway opening.
