Revenue Employees End Strike as Lawyers Continue Court Boycott in Abbottabad
Abbottabad, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Sep, 2026) Employees of the District Revenue Department and all its subordinate offices have ended their weeklong strike over the installation of a filtration plant and the situation arising from the dispute, resuming their official duties in the larger public interest.
The employees called off their strike on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad and rejoined their respective offices. The development has brought relief to citizens who had been facing difficulties in obtaining revenue-related services during the protest.
However, on the other side, lawyers have continued their boycott of courts over the filtration plant dispute. Court proceedings remain affected, while a large number of litigants and members of the public continue to wait for the resolution of the issue and restoration of normal judicial proceedings.
The contrasting developments have brought some relief to revenue services, but the broader dispute remains unresolved, leaving citizens caught between the continuing legal boycott and the disruption caused by the ongoing dispute.
