Rohri Railway Station Being Upgraded to International Standard at a Cost of Rs 1.27 Billion: Kumail Shah

Syed Kumail Hyder Shah, District Council Chairman of Sukkur, has announced that Rohri Railway Station is undergoing a significant upgrade to meet international standards, with a budget of Rs 1.27 billion. This collaboration involves Pakistan Railways and the Sindh government.

During his visit to the station on Friday, along with Divisional Superintendent Farhan Ghani and Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shahzad, Shah inspected the ongoing development work. He highlighted that the project includes replacing staircases and modernizing passenger facilities, as well as track replacement and improved train timings nationwide.

Notably, the Ho Jamalo Train, recently launched, has brought relief to Sukkur residents, with plans to operate it as a safari train with additional coaches on specific days.

Regarding political matters, Shah dismissed rumors about the Sindh government being dismissed, stating that opposition parties are becoming increasingly desperate due to the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) growing popularity. He noted the recent joining of GDA leader Pappu Khan Chachar and other opposition figures switching sides to the PPP.
