RPO Suspends Two Police Officials
UrduPoint (September 17, 2026) - Regional Police Officer (RPO) suspended an investigation officer and a Station House Officer (SHO) for prematurely discharging a rape case involving a minor.
The announcement was made in an open court where the parents of the minor appeared and complained that investigation officer Shazia Marri and SHO Sajjad Hussain of Choubara Police Station had discharged the rape case without any reason and without informing them. They faced difficulties in registering the case, as they repeatedly visited the police station to lodge an FIR against the accused. After the case was finally registered, it was immediately discharged.
After hearing their complaint, the RPO issued suspension orders against both officials. He assured the parents that justice would be provided according to the law.
