Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa has directed officials to ensure effective cleanliness operations and take strict action against encroachments across the district. He ordered:
- Transparent use of public funds
- Regular field monitoring
- Strict action against contractors violating government agreements
He warned that violations could lead to legal proceedings and contract cancellation.
He also directed municipal authorities to remove encroachments from roads, footpaths and public spaces to improve traffic flow and facilitate commuters.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Chaudhry Aitzaz Anjum informed the meeting that contractors’ machinery, workforce and operational capacity were being audited to assess compliance with contractual obligations.
