SALU Organizes Awareness Session On Harassment

SUKKUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Directorate of Students Affairs at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, organized an awareness session titled "A Safe, Respectful & Harassment Free Environment for Students" at the Benazir Chair of the University on Wednesday. The session aimed to raise awareness about harassment, promote a culture of respect, and encourage the creation of a safe and supportive university environment.

- University Initiatives: Dr. Jatoi announced several proactive measures to foster a safe academic atmosphere, including nominating a Focal Person for Harassment in every department and implementing a strict zero-tolerance policy against harassment.
Interactive Discussion: Students actively participated in discussions about challenges they face regarding harassment, the issue of unreported incidents, and the importance of reporting inappropriate behavior.
The Pro Vice Chancellor assured students that the Directorate of Students Affairs is committed to supporting them and addressing complaints promptly and justly, under the directives of the Vice Chancellor.
