Samar Bilour Calls for Security Measures After Mohmand Polio Team Attack
Samar Bilour, the Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information, has strongly condemned an attack on police personnel deployed for the anti-polio campaign in Mohmand district, where two officers lost their lives and one was injured. She also expressed grief over a recent accident and kidnapping incident in Tank.
In a statement, she paid tribute to the martyred police personnel for their sacrifices in protecting the country and its future generations. She offered her condolences to their families and wished the injured officer a speedy recovery.
Bilour expressed deep sorrow for the Tank incidents, extended her condolences to the affected families, and prayed for their resilience. She emphasized that attacks on polio workers and security personnel are not only a violation of law and order but also a threat to the well-being of children.
She urged the authorities to enhance security measures to protect polio workers and security personnel during the vaccination campaigns. She also called for effective steps to ensure the safe return of those affected in Tank and the punishment of the perpetrators.
Bilour stated that such acts of terrorism cannot deter the nation's commitment to peace, and expressed solidarity with the police and security forces.
