SANA Signs MoUs for Scholarships, International Education Opportunities at SBBU
HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) Dr Maqbool Halepoto, Central President Sindhi Association of North America (SANA), accompanied by Joint Secretary Ali Khaskheli, visited Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad. They met with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah, faculty members, administrative officers and students.
During the visit, the SANA delegation toured various departments of the university. A reception was also organized in their honour by students at Multipurpose Hall. As part of the ceremony, important Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to provide scholarships to students and facilitate admission opportunities at various international educational institutions.
Addressing the students, SANA Central President Dr Maqbool Halepoto expressed his great pleasure at witnessing the efforts being made at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah, to provide quality education to younger generation of Sindh. He stated that:
education is the foundation of a bright future for young people and the development of Sindh.
He stressed that providing students with opportunities for higher education and research at international institutions is an important need of the time.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah said that it was a matter of great pleasure and pride for the university to welcome distinguished representatives of SANA. He appreciated SANA for its commendable role in supporting education and future of the youth of Sindh, despite being thousands of miles away from their homeland.
Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah stated that the university was committed to providing every student with quality education, alongside access to international academic opportunities. He described the agreements signed for scholarships and collaboration with international educational institutions as an important step towards achieving this goal. He reaffirmed his commitment to the academic development and empowerment of students.
