Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, on Wednesday called for embracing the guidance offered by Seerat-e-Tayyaba (PBUH) to counter the challenges faced by the youth in the digital age.
He made these remarks while addressing a Mehfil-e-Naat-e-Rasool (PBUH) organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
Sardar Yousuf highlighted the significance of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the blessed month during which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. He extended congratulations to participants who excelled in national competitions for Seerat books, Naatiya Kalam, and research papers.
"These awards are a testament to their academic, literary, and religious efforts in propagating the message of Seerat-e-Tayyaba (PBUH)," he said.
The minister emphasized that Seerah teaches not only worship but also fosters responsible individuals, good citizens, and strong societies. He acknowledged the digital challenges faced by the younger generation and stressed the need to highlight the Seerah message accordingly.
He noted:
"Today’s spiritual gathering is not merely a ceremony of reciting Naats but a beautiful way to renew our faith, express our love for the Prophet (PBUH), and strengthen our connection with his noble character."
Sardar Muhammad Yousuf concluded by emphasizing the importance of good character, honesty, hard work, knowledge, responsibility, respect for parents, and patriotism for a fulfilling life. He was joined by renowned Naat Khawans who captivated the audience with their soulful performances.
The event was followed by a prize distribution ceremony for winners of Seerat books and research papers competitions.
