Sargodha Commissioner Issues Directives for Development Projects, Wheat Smuggling

Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali has instructed departments to prioritize quality and timely completion of Own Source Revenue (OSR)-funded schemes, while also implementing stricter measures to monitor wheat transportation and flour supplies, ensuring public access.
Speeding Up Development, Cracking Down on Smuggling
During a meeting to review OSR-funded projects, the divisional sugar cane development cess committee, and wheat smuggling, the commissioner emphasized the need for:
- Expedited work on development projects, adhering to set targets.
- Maintaining quality and transparency in all construction schemes.
- Enhanced monitoring of flour availability and wheat transportation to prevent smuggling.
Meeting Discusses Sugarcane Growers' Welfare, Flour Supply
The meeting also delved into the affairs of the Sugarcane Development Cess Committee, highlighting the importance of effective progress on its development projects and activities, in compliance with regulations.
Additionally, it discussed strategies to support sugarcane growers and examined the current flour supply situation.
