Saud Bin Saqr Attends Central American Independence Day Celebration in Ras Al Khaimah

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended a reception celebrating the 205th anniversary of Central American countries' independence. The event took place in the presence of Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, and Sheikha Hissa bint Sultan Al Nahyan, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Reception Details:
The reception was hosted by the embassies of Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Guatemala to the UAE at the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa.
Attendees included:
- Francisco Chacón Hernández, Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica to the UAE
- Gerardo Pérez Figueroa, Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to the UAE
- Jorge Rafael Archila Ruiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to the UAE
- Luis Alfonso de Alba Góngora, Ambassador of Mexico to the UAE.
Other guests included several ambassadors accredited to the UAE, senior officials, and members of the diplomatic missions of the three countries.
Sheikh Saud's Remarks:
Sheikh Saud stated that the occasion celebrated the rich history and national identity of Central America while looking ahead to a shared future built on cooperation. He emphasized the strong ties between the UAE and these countries, founded on friendship and mutual respect.
He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening these relations, offering his sincere congratulations to the peoples of Central America and wishing them continued progress and prosperity.
Ambassadors' Statements:
The ambassadors expressed gratitude for Sheikh Saud's attendance and reiterated their countries' desire to strengthen ties with the UAE across various sectors. They also commended Ras Al Khaimah’s development.
This is the second consecutive year Ras Al Khaimah has hosted this celebration, reflecting deep relations and a shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation.
