Saudi Authorities Arrest Eight Foreigners for Alleged Border Security Violations
Saudi authorities have arrested eight foreign nationals in the Asir Region’s Al-Rabwah Sector for allegedly violating border security regulations. According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Sabq, border guards recovered 200 kilograms of narcotics from the suspects.
In a separate incident in the Jazan Region, border guards arrested two individuals for attempting to smuggle 40 narcotics.
The Border Guard confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects and the seized items.
It's worth noting that Saudi authorities have made several similar arrests recently:
- Four foreign nationals were arrested in Madinah for fishing without a permit.
- Security forces have been vigilant in enforcing maritime safety and security regulations.
Security authorities are urging citizens and residents to report any information about smuggling activities for prompt action.
