SBA Range Police Arrest 3,897 Suspects In 3 Month Crackdown
UrduPoint (4th Sep, 2026) - Under the supervision of Faisal Bashir Memon, the Shaheed Benazirabad (SBA) Range Police have demonstrated remarkable performance in maintaining law and order and taking action against criminal elements over a three-month period from June to August 2026.
According to an official report from the DIGP SBA Range Office:
- Case Registrations: A total of 2,949 cases were registered across the range.
- Nominations: 7,794 individuals were nominated.
- Arrests: 3,897 suspects were arrested during various operations.
Month-wise Performance:
- June:
- 955 cases registered
- 2,711 nominations
- 1,287 arrests
- July:
- 965 cases registered
- 2,636 nominations
- 1,367 arrests
- August:
- 1,029 cases registered
- 2,447 nominations
- 1,243 arrests
Encounters with Criminal Elements:
The police conducted 79 encounters resulting in:
- 2 criminal deaths
- 68 suspect arrests
- 54 individuals injured
Proclaimed Offenders and Absconders:
- 109 proclaimed offenders arrested
- 521 absconders apprehended
Weapons Seized:
- 2 Kalashnikovs, 16 shotguns, 1 rifle, 231 pistols, 2 revolvers, 1 carbine
- 507 rounds of ammunition and 61 cartridges.
Narcotics Seized:
- 0.420 kilograms of opium, 199.153 kilograms of hashish, 5.940 kilograms of ice, 203.3 kilograms of cannabis, and 4,200 liters of local wine
- 410 pints and 165 bottles
Other Seizures:
- 4,564.858 kilograms of gutka, mainpuri, mawa, and other hazardous substances
- Property and goods worth Rs. 6,936,500
