Section 144 Imposed in District Till Sep 29
Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi, has imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in Sukkur District, banning gatherings, processions, rallies and demonstrations of five or more persons till September 29, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Commissioner, this restriction is aimed at maintaining public order and ensuring the protection of life and property. Concerned police officers have been directed to take legal action against any violation of Section 144. The Commissioner has also instructed the District Administration and Police authorities to ensure effective implementation of the notification.
